Westview Christian Fellowship

Established in 1988, Westview is an inclusive learning community with an Anabaptist heritage and a member of the Mennonite Church of Eastern Canada where participation comes above perfection.  As a group, we are committed to being a contributing member of the Queenston Neighbourhood in St. Catharines, Ontario. It is primarily in this neighbourhood that we discover and share that which we have been given.

From 2007 until March 2024 Westview operated a program called Westview Centre 4 Women (WC4W).  It started as Women4Women, a space where any woman could come and exchange clothes, share a meal and connect with others.  The mission was that every woman is equal and encouraged to be her true self, free from pressure to change.  The aim was to foster love and build a supportive community.  Over the years the program and community grew and became Westview Centre 4 Women.

In January 2024, the WC4W committee members and employees incorporated the WC4W name and program, launching an independent organization separate from the church.  The new WC4W moved to 17 Gale Crescent in March 2024 and to support this change WCF closed its WC4W program.

As a community, we aim to develop a sensitivity to the call of love, peace, justice, reconciliation, hope, beauty, and in these, God. Assisted by dialogue and learning, we hope to orientate our lives to the “Good News” found in Christ’s life and teachings.

Through participation, community, repetition and study, Sunday gathering times are devoted to learning and practising the principles listed above. Church services are held every Sunday starting at 10:00 am and usually ends before noon. One Sunday a month is an outdoor service (Forest Church), while the second last Sunday of the month we host a potluck service. We have a very casual atmosphere that includes singing, a coffee break and a time for sharing and discussion. A nursery space is available for parents and their children, though people of all ages are welcome in the service.
